As the vast majority of people do, towards the end of last year, I made a commitment to myself that 2020 was going to be “the year.” For me, it was the year that I was supposed set more time aside in my schedule to attend more events and car shows to photograph, capture more video and ultimately, restart my YouTube channel (shameful plug // my YouTube channel: https://bit.ly/2EKtX5N). As we all know, 2020 will go down in history as the year that got written off. History will illustrate how all travel, activities, going out to eat, grocery shopping, going to work and school, family gatherings and life as we knew it literally ceased to exist. This will be the year that the history books remember us creating a new normal-for everything. To make the best of what this year has left to offer, I decided to kick-off my New Years Resolution with a complete social distancing trip to Colorado Springs for the Gridlife – Alpine Horizon event.
Despite attendance being highly limited this year, the event drew participants from all over the country. Unfortunately, our little EK Civic, that my brothers and I ran couldn’t make it due to a last minute clutch issue. So, it was strictly photography and video footage this year with no Civic. We’re (and I’m pretty sure the rest of the world) hoping for a better 2021 and expecting to have the Civic up and running at next year’s Gridlife – Alpine Horizon sans masks with smiles.
Check out my debut video! I will throw up another post up shortly with the photos from the event.
